A little history about how, My Locksmith, LLC made it to Martin County, FL.

The founders started their locksmith journey all the way back in 1994 in Manchester, Connecticut. The patriarch of the family took a correspondence course in locksmithing and his number two son, Michael took an interest in what had arrived in the mail. He followed his father’s footsteps through that course to completion. Being an Honorably discharged US Navy Veteran, and with just enough knowledge from that locksmith correspondence course to be dangerous, Michael enrolled in a program with the Department of Veterans Affairs called, Vocational Rehabilitation, and started an apprenticeship program with one of Connecticut’s oldest lock and safe companies. After the completion of the three-year apprenticeship program, Michael started his own locksmith business, where he ran a full-service mobile lock shop as well as a storefront location, which consisted of a full-service showroom stocked with the latest safes and locks on the market.

In 2005 as their family plans solidified towards migrating to Florida, the Connecticut business was sold and new roots began in 2007 in Boca Raton, FL. Getting acclimated to South Florida and all it has to offer, Michael worked as a Locksmith for two different well-known and well-established Locksmith businesses. The first was in Boynton Beach, C.K.’s Lockshop, and the second was in Jupiter, Sixberry Locksmith Group. The different types of locking mechanisms in South Florida have greatly increased his knowledge within the industry. Due to Florida’s distinct weather, many types of locks in South Florida were not experienced in Connecticut.

After 9 years in Boca, a slight migration to Jupiter happened, and then 4 years later, a little push north to Martin County.

It was time to re-engage as the business owner, My Locksmith, LLC was born!
